March 15, 2023: Greensboro, NC 27409 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) and the visiting Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), saw Northwest Guilford's soccer squad triumph over Pinecrest by a margin of 6-0.
The Vikings now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Grimsley for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 21. Northwest Guilford will meet a Whirlies squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC). The Whirlies record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Pinecrest falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Richmond (Rockingham, NC) to play the Raiders in a non-league outing on Friday, March 17. The Raiders go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Richmond won 9-0 in their recent non-league outing against Lumberton (Lumberton, NC)
