Western Hills Wolverines (Frankfort, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY), 16-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bourbon County for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 16.

With the loss, Lexington Catholic falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Knights host Lafayette (Lexington, KY) to battle the Generals in a challenge on Thursday, April 13. The Generals enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
