March 15, 2024: Cordova, SC 29039 The Calhoun County Saints soccer team (St. Matthews, SC), was nipped 1-0 in Friday's non-league outing with the host Edisto Cougars (Cordova, SC)
With the win, Edisto advances its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Hampton County (Varnville, SC) to play the Hurricanes in a AA Region 6 game on Tuesday, March 19. The Hurricanes go into the game with a record of 4-6. Hampton County lost 2-1 in their recent league game against Woodland (Dorchester, SC)
The Saints (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Denmark-Olar (Denmark, SC). The Vikings go into the A Region 4 game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Denmark-Olar nipped Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC), 16-1, in a league game.
