The West Stokes Wildcats baseball squad (King, NC), was overwhelmed 9-2 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC)

Next up, the Screaming Eagle encounter the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A bout, on Tuesday, March 18. Ashley will attempt to advance on its 7-0 season record. The Buccaneers enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 12-1 non-league win over Green Hope (Cary, NC).

The Wildcats (6-1) will now prepare for their bout against Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Patriots enter the non-league bout with a 2-6 record.
