In Saturday's non-league game, the host Walnut Mustangs baseball team scored a close 2-1 win over the West Ranch Wildcats.

The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Claremont (Claremont, CA). The Wolfpack go into the Palomares game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, Claremont was tipped by Riverside Prep (Oro Grande, CA), 14-0, in a non-league game.
