In Saturday's non-league game, the host Green Hope Falcons baseball team scored a close 11-10 win over the Laney Buccaneers.

The Falcons (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Apex Friendship (Apex, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league game with a 3-3 record. In their last game, Apex Friendship nudged Middle Creek (Apex, NC), 6-4, in a non-league game.

Next, the Buccaneers play the Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 18. Laney will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Screaming Eagle go into the game with a 2-2 record after their 9-6 non-league win over West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC).
