In Thursday's non-league challenge, the George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), by a final score of 11-3.

With the win, George County upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Rebels host Petal (Petal, MS) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 17. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Petal won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Lafayette (Oxford, MS)

With the defeat, West Point falls to 5-6 on the season. The Green wave travel to New Hope (Columbus, MS) to battle the Trojans in a 5A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 3-2.
