Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY), 73-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Frederick Douglass upgrades its record to 15-2 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Male (Louisville, KY) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Friday, March 17. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 24-8. Male won 94-59 in their recent non-league battle against Breathitt County (Jackson, KY)
