North Carolina High School Soccer - South Mecklenburg knocks off Hoggard
March 16, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28210 South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Sabres confront the Berry Cardinal (Charlotte, NC) in a So Meck 4A challenge, on Tuesday, March 19. South Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Cardinal come into the test with a 2-6 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Hopewell (Huntersville, NC).
With the loss, Hoggard drops to 4-2 on the season. The Vikings host North Brunswick (Leland, NC) to meet the Scorpions in a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, March 19. The Scorpions come into the test with a record of 4-4. North Brunswick won 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC)
