Missouri High School Softball - Sweet Springs nudges Pierce City
March 16, 2024: Pierce City, MO 65723 Sweet Springs Greyhounds (Sweet Springs, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pierce City Eagles (Pierce City, MO), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Greyhounds now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tipton for a Class 1 District 7 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Sweet Springs will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 18-2 league win over Smithton (Smithton, MO). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Pierce City falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Fair Grove (Fair Grove, MO) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Fair Grove lost 12-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Stockton (Stockton, MO)
