In Monday's non-league game, the host Rye Thunderbolts baseball team scored a nice 21-1 win over the La Veta Redhawks.

The Thunderbolts (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Rocky Ford (Rocky Ford, CO). The Meloneers come into the 2A Santa Fe match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Rocky Ford was overwhelmed by Woodland Park (Woodland Park, CO), 7-0, in a non-league match.

The Redhawks now have a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McClave for a non-league game on Friday, March 20.
