The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Avery Bulldogs (Avery, TX) and the visiting Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR), observed Avery's softball team notch a victory over Ashdown by a final score of 17-5.

The Bulldogs (2-7) will now prepare for their match against Maud (Maud, TX). The Cardinals go into the 2A Region III District 17 match with a 11-4 record.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Lafayette County Cougars (Stamps, AR) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 19. Ashdown will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record.
