Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), 5-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Normal Community improves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Ironmen travel to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL) to play the Irish in a Big Twelve game on Tuesday, April 21. The Irish enter the game with a record of 9-10. Peoria Notre Dame won 15-1 in their recent league game against Centennial (Champaign, IL)

The Railsplitters now hold a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Decatur Eisenhower for a Central State Eight game on Wednesday, April 22. Lincoln will play a Panthers squad coming off a 19-0 league loss to Normal University (Normal, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-9.
