Georgia High School Baseball - Jenkins County nips Edmund Burke Academy
March 17, 2023: Millen, GA 30442 Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA), 7-6 in a non-league test.
With the win, Jenkins County upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The War Eagles host Emanuel County Institute (Twin City, GA) to battle the Bulldogs in a 1A D-II Area 3 test on Tuesday, March 21. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 10-5. Emanuel County Institute won 2-1 in their recent league test against McIntosh County Academy (Darien, GA)
With the defeat, Edmund Burke Academy falls to 4-3 on the season. The Spartans host Augusta Prep Day (Augusta, GA) to battle the Cavaliers in a GIAA AA District 4 test on Monday, March 20. The Cavaliers come into the test with a record of 4-6. Augusta Prep Day lost 13-6 in their recent non-league test against Westminster Schools of Augusta (Augusta, GA)
