The Myrtle Hawks baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Center Hill Mustangs to 5 in the Hawks non-league win on Monday.

The Hawks now hold a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they host West Union for a non-league test on Thursday, March 20. Myrtle will play a Eagles team coming off a 12-7 non-league loss to Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS). The Eagles record now stands at 5-5.

With the defeat, Center Hill drops to 6-8 on the year. The Mustangs host Olive Branch (Olive Branch, MS) to play the Conquistadors in a 6A Region 1 test on Tuesday, March 18. The Conquistadors go into the test with a record of 9-2. Olive Branch won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Overton (Memphis, TN)
