Louisiana High School Baseball - Port Barre loses to Opelousas Catholic
March 17, 2025: Opelousas, LA 70570 Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) fans left the game pleased Monday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Port Barre Red Devils (Port Barre, LA), 8-2 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Opelousas Catholic advances its record to 11-6 on the season. The Vikings travel to Berchmans Academy (Grand Coteau, LA) to battle the Saints in a 1A District 5 match on Tuesday, March 18. The Saints come into the match with a record of 5-7. Berchmans Academy lost 11-3 in their recent league match against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA)
The Red Devils now have a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oakdale for a 2A District 5 match on Tuesday, March 18. Port Barre will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 2-1 league loss to Kinder (Kinder, LA). The Warriors record now stands at 9-11.
