The El Capitan Vaqueros baseball squad (Lakeside, CA), was overwhelmed 24-1 in Monday's league contest with the visiting Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA)

With the triumph, Helix moves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Highlanders host Grossmont (El Cajon, CA) to confront the Foothillers in a contest on Wednesday, March 19. The Foothillers come into the contest with a record of 1-1. Grossmont won 9-1 in their recent league contest against Santana (Santee, CA)

The Vaqueros now possess a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Steele Canyon for a contest on Wednesday, March 19. El Capitan will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 17-2 league loss to West Hills (Santee, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-1.
