March 17, 2025: Cashiers, NC 28717 The Highlands Highlanders soccer squad scored 9 points and held the host Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats to 1 in the Highlanders league victory on Monday.
The Highlanders now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Cherokee for a Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Thursday, March 20. Highlands will play a Braves squad coming off a 6-0 league loss to Swain County (Bryson City, NC). The Braves record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Blue Ridge Early College moves to 0-2 on the year. The Bobcats host Hayesville (Hayesville, NC) to play the Yellowjackets in a Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Thursday, March 20. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Hayesville lost 9-0 in their recent league bout against Murphy (Murphy, NC)
