March 17, 2025: Lexington, GA 30648 Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Oglethorpe County moves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Elbert County (Elberton, GA) to clash with the Blue Devils in a 1A D-I Region 8 test on Friday, March 21. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 6-3. Elbert County lost 8-0 in their recent league test against Athens Academy (Athens, GA)
The Red Raiders now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastside for a 4A Region 8 battle on Friday, March 21. Madison County will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Cristo Rey Atlanta (Atlanta, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-4.
