In Monday's non-league game, the host McDowell Titans baseball team scored a close 7-6 win over the Patton Panthers.

The Titans (6-2) will now prepare for their game against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks go into the non-league game with a 2-3 record. In their last game, North Buncombe was tipped by Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 10-4, in a non-league game.
