Arkansas High School Softball - Acorn bounces Mount Ida
March 17, 2025: Mena, AR 71953 The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR) and the visiting Mount Ida Lions (Mount Ida, AR), observed Acorn's softball team notch a victory over Mount Ida by a final score of 16-3.
The Tigers (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Hector (Hector, AR). The Wildcats go into the 2A Region 4 bout with a 5-0 record. In their last bout, Hector gained a win over Westside (Coal Hill, AR), 17-2, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Nevada Blue Jays (Rosston, AR) in a 1A Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, March 18. Mount Ida will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Blue Jays go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 22-17 non-league win over Emerson (Emerson, AR).
