The Lone Star Rangers got by the visiting Centennial Titans softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Friday's league battle.

The Rangers (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Liberty (Frisco, TX). The Redhawks go into the 5A Region II District 9 battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Liberty was edged by Reedy (Frisco, TX), 16-1, in a league battle.

The Titans now sport a 5-6 record. They play next when they host Frisco for a 5A Region II District 9 battle on Tuesday, March 22. Centennial will meet a Raccoons squad coming off a 14-0 league win over Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX). The Raccoons record now stands at 6-8.
