Mississippi High School Softball - Belmont nudges Tishomingo County
March 18, 2023: Belmont, MS 38827 Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tishomingo County Braves (Iuka, MS), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Cardinals now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pine Grove for a 2A Region 1 challenge on Monday, March 27.
With the loss, Tishomingo County falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS) to battle the Indians in a 4A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 6-5. Itawamba Agricultural lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against American Christian Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL)
