March 18, 2024: Belle Chasse, LA 70037 The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Belle Chasse Cardinals (Belle Chasse, LA) and the visiting Ascension Catholic Bulldogs (Donaldsonville, LA), saw Belle Chasse's softball squad nip Ascension Catholic by a count of 5-4.
The Cardinals now sport a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to L.W. Higgins for a 4A District 10 match on Tuesday, March 19. Belle Chasse will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 19-9 non-league loss to Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-11.
With the loss, Ascension Catholic falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to White Castle (White Castle, LA) to face the Bulldogs in a 1A District 8 match on Thursday, March 21. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 2-3.
