Madison Central Indians (Richmond, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY), 10-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bryan Station for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Madison Central will face a Defenders squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Tates Creek (Lexington, KY). The Defenders record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Lafayette falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Generals host Scott County (Georgetown, KY) to face the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Scott County lost 6-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY)
