Oregon High School Softball - South Umpqua bounces North Bend
March 18, 2024: Myrtle Creek, OR 97457 South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Bend Bulldogs (North Bend, OR), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Lancers now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hidden Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 18. South Umpqua will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 17-8 non-league win over North Valley (Grants Pass, OR). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, North Bend falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Taft (Lincoln City, OR) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Taft lost 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Warrenton (Warrenton, OR)
