North Carolina High School Baseball - Surry Central holds off Calvary Day School
March 18, 2025: Winston-Salem, NC 27104 The Surry Central Golden Eagles baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Calvary Day School Cougars to 3 in the Golden Eagles non-league win on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alleghany for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 19. Surry Central will play a Trojans team coming off a 17-7 league loss to South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-6.
With the defeat, Calvary Day School drops to 3-2 on the year. The Cougars travel to Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC) to play the Trojans in a NCISAA Piedmont test on Tuesday, March 25. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 3-6.
