The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM) and the host Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM), saw Mayfield's baseball team gain a win over Hobbs by a tally of 11-5.

The Trojans (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM). The Bulldawgs enter the 5A District 3 battle with a 6-1 record.

Next, the Eagles face the Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 20. Hobbs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 16-0 non-league win over Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM).
