Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Narrows Green Waves (Narrows, VA), 8-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Giles moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Grayson County (Independence, VA) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Mountain Empire test on Thursday, March 20. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 0-0.
