Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) supporters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ariton Purple Cats (Ariton, AL), 6-3 in a league game.

The Rebels now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carroll for a non-league outing on Thursday, March 20. Long will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Samson (Samson, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Ariton moves to 8-5 on the season. The Purple cats travel to Abbeville (Abbeville, AL) to encounter the Yellowjackets in a 2A Area 3 outing on Thursday, March 20. The Yellowjackets come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Abbeville lost 15-0 in their recent league outing against Long (Skipperville, AL)
