In Tuesday's league test, the Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) softball squad the visiting South Columbus Stallions (Tabor City, NC), by a tally of 9-5.

Next, the Patriots meet the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, March 20. Pender will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Golden Tornadoes go into the test with a 0-4 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to South Brunswick (Southport, NC).

The Stallions (2-2) will now prepare for their test against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, West Bladen held off South Columbus (Tabor City, NC), 7-3, in a non-league test.
