Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS), 12-1 in a league challenge.

The Cobras now own a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Enterprise for a 2A Region 6 challenge on Thursday, March 21.

With the loss, Loyd Star falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Hornets host Bassfield (Bassfield, MS) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 0-5.
