Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Hattiesburg Tigers (Hattiesburg, MS) and the host New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), saw Hattiesburg's baseball squad knock off New Hope by a count of 8-4.

Coming up next, the Tigers play the Lamar Christian Lions (Purvis, MS) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 20. Hattiesburg will attempt to move on its 6-3 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 3-10 record after their 13-0 non-league loss to Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS).
