Illinois High School Softball - Marquette nudges Batavia
March 19, 2022: Ottawa, IL 61350 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) and the visiting Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, IL), saw Marquette's softball squad nip Batavia by a count of 2-1.
The Crusaders now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverdale for a non-league match on Saturday, March 19. Marquette will face a Rams squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Newark (Newark, IL). The Rams record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Batavia falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL) to face the Saxons in a non-league match on Thursday, March 24. The Saxons enter the match with a record of 0-0.
