March 19, 2024: Alexandria, LA 71303 The Vermilion Catholic Eagles (Abbeville, LA) baseball trounced the host Alexandria Trojans (Alexandria, LA), 11-3 in Tuesday's non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Eagles encounter the Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA) in a 1A District 7 contest, on Thursday, March 21. Vermilion Catholic will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Bears come into the contest with a 6-7 record after their 24-1 league loss to Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA).
The Trojans now sport a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Ouachita Parish for a 5A District 2 contest on Wednesday, March 20.
