Texas High School Baseball - Big Spring nips Denver City
March 19, 2024: Denver City, TX 79323 Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Denver City Mustangs (Denver City, TX), 5-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Big Spring upgrades its record to 10-18 on the season. The Steers travel to Estacado (Lubbock, TX) to battle the Matadors in a 4A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, April 2. The Matadors come into the test with a record of 11-11.
With the defeat, Denver City falls to 7-6 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to battle the Mules in a 3A Region I District 3 test on Saturday, March 23. The Mules come into the test with a record of 4-9. Muleshoe lost 13-4 in their recent non-league test against Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX)
