Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bryan Vikings (Bryan, TX), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Weiss for a 6A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, March 22. Midway will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over Anderson (Austin, TX). The Wolves record now stands at 10-12.

With the loss, Bryan falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Vikings host Hutto (Hutto, TX) to battle the Hippos in a 6A Region II District 12 challenge on Friday, March 22. The Hippos enter the challenge with a record of 15-11. Hutto lost 15-8 in their recent league challenge against Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX)
