North Carolina High School Softball - West Wilkes bounces Forbush
March 19, 2024: East Bend, NC 27018 West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), 6-1 in a league challenge.
The Blackhawks now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Norman for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20. West Wilkes will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 17-1 league win over West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, Forbush falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Falcons host Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 7-0. Northwest Guilford won 17-0 in their recent league challenge against Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC)
