Louisiana High School Softball - Westminster Academy loses to Opelousas Catholic
March 19, 2024: Opelousas, LA 70570 The Opelousas Catholic Vikings softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Westminster Academy Crusaders to 0 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.
With the triumph, Opelousas Catholic improves its record to 15-5 on the year. The Vikings travel to St. Edmund (Eunice, LA) to clash with the Fighting Blue Jays in a 1A District 6 game on Thursday, March 21. The Fighting Blue Jays come into the game with a record of 8-6. St. Edmund lost 11-1 in their recent league game against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA)
In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the False River Gators (New Roads, LA) in a 1A District 6 game, on Wednesday, March 20. Westminster Academy will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Gators come into the game with a 0-11 record after their 18-0 league loss to Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA).
