In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Highlands Bluebirds softball team scored a tight 5-4 victory over the Ballard Bruins.

The Bluebirds (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY). The Titans go into the non-league match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Mercer County tipped Casey County (Liberty, KY), 11-6, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Bruins battle the South Oldham Dragons (Crestwood, KY) in a non-league match, on Thursday, March 20. Ballard will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Dragons go into the match with a 0-2 record after their 19-9 non-league loss to Assumption (Louisville, KY).
