First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, NC), 22-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, First Flight upgrades its record to 3-1 on the year. The Nighthawks host Manteo (Manteo, NC) to play the Redskins in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A game on Friday, March 21. The Redskins enter the game with a record of 5-3. Manteo lost 7-1 in their recent non-league game against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Suffolk, VA)
