North Carolina High School Softball - Freedom bounces North Gaston

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) and the visiting North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC), observed Freedom's softball team prevail over North Gaston by a tally of 22-6.

The Patriots (5-6) will now prepare for their bout against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans go into the Northwestern 3A/4A bout with a 10-0 record. In their last bout, South Caldwell knocked off High Point Christian Academy (High Point, NC), 6-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 3A bout, on Friday, March 21. North Gaston will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Palisades (Charlotte, NC).
