The Carson Cougars baseball team (China Grove, NC), was overwhelmed 10-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC)

The Vikings now hold a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexander Central for a non-league outing on Thursday, March 21. South Iredell will confront a Cougars team coming off a 6-0 league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-4.

Next, the Cougars confront the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) in a South Piedmont 3A outing, on Thursday, March 21. Carson will attempt to advance on its 6-2 season record. The Trojans go into the outing with a 4-5 record after their 4-1 league loss to Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC).
