March 20, 2024: Lone Grove, OK 73443 Lone Grove Longhorns (Lone Grove, OK) backers went home happy Wednesday as they saw their baseball squad knock off the visiting Wister Wildcats (Wister, OK), 8-5 in a non-league battle.
Coming up next, the Longhorns play the Frederick Bombers (Frederick, OK) in a 3A District 1 battle, on Monday, March 25. Lone Grove will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record.
The Wildcats now possess a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cameron for a Rock Island battle on Friday, March 22. Wister will play a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Savanna (Savanna, OK). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 9-2.
