North Carolina High School Baseball - Weddington defeats South Mecklenburg
March 20, 2024: Matthews, NC 28104 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) and the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), saw Weddington's baseball squad knock off South Mecklenburg by a count of 10-5.
Coming up next, the Warriors play the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) in a match, on Monday, March 25. Weddington will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Pirates go into the match with a 4-4 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC).
The Sabres (5-4) will now prepare for their match against Palisades (Charlotte, NC). The Pumas go into the match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Palisades was overwhelmed by South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 7-4, in a league match.
