Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA), 6-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Auburn moves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Giles (Pearisburg, VA) to clash with the Spartans in a Mountain Empire test on Monday, March 24. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 1-1. Giles won 6-1 in their recent non-league test against Bath County (Hot Springs, VA)

The Maroon Tide now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Carroll County for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 26.
