In Thursday's non-league bout, the Newton Rams (Covington, GA) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA), by a tally of 10-3.

Next up, the Rams encounter the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, March 22. Newton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Purple Hurricanes enter the bout with a 9-2 record after their 17-0 non-league win over Discovery (Lawrenceville, GA).

The Panthers (8-4) will now prepare for their bout against Mays (Atlanta, GA). The Raiders enter the non-league bout with a 3-8 record.
