Virginia High School Soccer - Heritage toppled by Smithfield
March 20, 2025: Smithfield, VA 23430 Smithfield Packers (Smithfield, VA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Heritage Hurricanes (Newport News, VA), 5-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Smithfield advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Packers travel to Bruton (Williamsburg, VA) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, March 28. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 3-0. Bruton won 7-0 in their recent non-league test against Tabb (Yorktown, VA)
The Hurricanes now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Denbigh for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. Heritage will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Phoebus (Hampton, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.
