In Thursday's league match, the host Branham Bruins softball team scored a tight 11-7 victory over the Gilroy Mustangs.

The Bruins (4-4) will now prepare for their match against Valley Christian (San Jose, CA). The Warriors go into the non-league match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, Valley Christian tipped Mountain View (Mountain View, CA), 17-2, in a non-league match.
