Louisiana High School Softball - Westminster Christian Academy succumbs to Catholic of Pointe Coupee
March 20, 2025: New Roads, LA 70760 In Thursday's league test, the Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Westminster Christian Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA), by a tally of 17-0.
Next, the Hornets clash with the St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) in a non-league test, on Friday, March 21. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will attempt to advance on its 14-5 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 12-6 record after their 15-0 league win over Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA).
The Crusaders (1-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Edmund (Eunice, LA). The Fighting Blue Jays go into the 1A District 6 test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, St. Edmund was routed by Eunice (Eunice, LA), 13-5, in a non-league test.
